Elections for the new Council of Norton, Cuckney, Holbeck and Welbeck Parish Council have been declared.

At midnight on 4th May 2023, the first polls closed for the Norton, Cuckney, Holbeck and Welbeck Parish Council Election, with 12 vacant positions and only 11 candidates. The following candidates were declared duly elected as Parish Councillors for the new authority by the Returning Officer for the said election:

- Cllr Stacie Cookson
- Cllr David Wall
- Cllr Shelia Berresford
- Cllr Georgina Smith
- Cllr Daryl Statham-Waring
- Cllr Helen Reynolds
- Cllr Judith Reynolds
The new councillors shall serve a term of four years, concluding on May 4th 2028. The election of the new councillors signals the official date on which the new Parish of Norton, Cuckney, Holbeck and Welbeck was created and came into effect.
The Parish Council was established following a Community Governance Review by Bassetlaw District Council on 23rd June 2022; the recommendation of that review was to merge the prior Parishes of Norton & Cuckney and Holbeck & Welbeck.
The Reorganisation of Community Governance Order was deposited with the Secretary of State for at the Department of Communities and Local Government and enacted on 1st August 2022.
The Parish Council’s first Annual General Meeting and Annual Meeting of the Parish will be held on Thursday, 11th May 2023.
