Cllr. Sheila Brailsford

My name is Sheila Brailsford, I became a Parish Councillor when Norton Parish Meeting and Cuckney Parish Council merged to become Norton and Cuckney Parish Council, approximately 4 years ago.

I am 70 years old and have two adult sons and two young grandsons. I have lived in the area all my life, in Norton for 47 years. I was educated at Cuckney CofE School until the age of 11 then at Chesterfield and Worksop.

I have been involved in many aspects of village life both in Norton and Cuckney, and am an active member of our Parish Church, St Mary’s.

I joined the Parish Council to help sustain and preserve our villages and village life for the future.
