Cllr. Conor Marples

Conor was co-opted by the Parish Council in November 2023.

I have spent most of my life living in the Parish, with my family living on the Welbeck Estate for eight generations. I am extremely proud of the area and wish to maintain our heritage, as well as build a Parish fit for the future. My Grandfather, Gerald Marples, was a Parish Councillor for over 30 years and I have always been interested in local affairs.

Throughout my life I have played an active role in the community, from volunteering whilst at Cuckney School to take part in local events, to being a member of Cuckney Cricket Club and Welbeck Tennis Club at different stages of my life.

I am a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, working for a local firm in Mansfield. I enjoy new challenges and projects, as well as my ongoing interests in sports, fitness, music and learning anything which will help on a Pub Quiz!

I hope that my passion and enthusiasm for the Parish, along with working with the community will make our villages the best they possibly can be.
